"Body kind is something we believe is part of the class's imagination D2R Items," Fergusson said in an interview with a roundtable. He noted that the developer created a "'dad body' Druid and an emaciated Necromancer" to make a point. "Those are parts of what makes the class in certain ways, and so having a dad bod Necro or an obese Druid was not really a part of the school's fantasy.
"We were looking to offer as much variety as possible with regard to there beingmany different kinds of ethnicities, hair and markings and eye color, but there were certain things that made the class the class, and in Diablo 4 it was body type."Body kind and class archetypes are also tied into Diablo 4's style of armor and gear, along with the other features that go into the class, Fergusson said. That's why creating armor that's suitable for the mass of a barbarian's physique would be difficult to scale down in a version that weighs 90 pounds of the same class. "The main intention was to provide the highest level of choice you could get in a Diablo game" Fergusson said. "We intended for it to be more about your personalization , and] customization, but your barbarian still an aristocratic barbarian. going to be tough and not a waif."
Diablo 4 enhances the diversity of character customization options showing the campfire of adventurers with random appearances when players start the game. There's no indication in the game of the fact that the Barbarian is meant to be a white-haired man from Mount Arreat, or that any other class need be bound to gender or ethnic roles automatically.
In other words, while Diablo 4's characters creation tools aren't as advanced as some of the other popular role-playing titles but they're still able to buy D2R Ladder Items create great-looking, personalised characters while maintaining its dark medieval look Blizzard has in mind.
